Being a healthy mom is work. HARD work! My definition of a healthy lifestyle doesn’t involve “stick skinny” sizes. Healthy involves eating the right whole foods your body needs to have energy and a high immune system, as well as getting adequate exercise. Exercise, both cardiovascular and strength-building, is important! Being healthy takes planning. You must plan every step and every bite. Motherhood is hard enough as it is, and not taking care of yourself makes it even harder. Living a healthy lifestyle is completely worth it. You wake up in the morning feeling refreshed, without having your body ache or hurt. And you can say, I WANT to go wrestle or play soccer with my 4-year-old because I have energy and stigma! The effort is incredibly rewarding.
